The reason this page is on this website is because people
are asking why use the name, Dorcas Gazelle, for a weight support
website.
One of the reasons I
am sharing this information is so you can see where I got the idea
from. The other reason is because I want people like myself, who are
overweight or obese to: Never give up, never. Regardless of your
circumstances, always find a way to dream and dance. When we dream, it
takes us beyond ourselves into another realm. To dance means to swirl,
twirl or just allow ourselves to be free from worry.
I am on a walker and I had this fantastic dream. It
caused me to want to be free from the walker and just be light on my
feet. To be light on my feet, I knew I had to do something different
about my eating and try to exercise as much as possible. For that
moment in my dream, I was light on my feet; and it felt wonderful. So
here I go - I want to share this with you in hopes you will be free from
your pain of weight, and enjoy being a Dancing Gazelle.
My vision:
Today, January 17, 2016 I had a dream where I heard this man say to me,
“will you dance with me Dorcas gazelle?” I took this man's hand
and begin to dance. I was up on my feet twirling as he swirl me round
and round. I was up on my feet without a walker, or care in the world -
just spinning as he held my hand. I did not want to stop because I felt
so free. Then I laid my head on his breast as we danced. As the dance
was finally ending, I whispered in his ear softly, “thank you.” I woke
from the dream and all the splendor that I felt cannot be put into
words. I felt like I had been in the presence and arms of a King:
someone who was very special. I can't explain this dream like I really
felt it, but I know I've never felt like that in my life. I was finally
free and it felt wonderful. I am thankful that I know who my King is.
All that day I walked around in hope with the question in
my mind, “What if I can get up again and just dance?” I did not
understand the dream because I didn't know what a Gazelle was. Later on
that night before I went to bed, the dream was as real to me as it was
that morning. My mind was puzzled because I did not know what a gazelle
was. I went to Google later that night before I went to sleep and I
said, “Okay Google what is a gazelle.”
Once the searched finish, it came up Dorcas Gazelle.
I was shocked because I did not know that Dorcas would be attached to
the word Gazelle. I wasn't sure there was such a word. I came out of
Google and did the search again, and again the same thing came up,
“Dorcas Gazelle.”
There is an animal a species that is called Dorcas
Gazelle. As I began to research Dorcas Gazelle, I saw how it lived. I
saw how these species are quick on their feet.
I don't know what this dream meant, but it was so
special when I took this man's hand and begin to dance. This dance was
so unusual and powerful. I could feel the strength of being in a man’s
arms and I experienced what it would be like to be back up on my feet.
I kept hearing, “Will you dance with me Dorcas Gazelle?”
Today February 21st.
I shared my dream with my niece in Texas, Nicole, “Will you dance with
me Dorcas Gazelle?” Nicole told me it was funny that I told her the
dream. A Gazelle is known to all dance instructors. I was shocked
because I didn't know what a Gazelle was, and had no idea that it was
connected to dancing.
Nicole is a dance instructor, and she told me that she
always teaches her students to dance like a Gazelle. She asked if I have
seen a Gazelle, and I told her not in person, just on Google that
evening. She said they are very light on their feet. In dance she always
tells her students to dance like a Gazelle. She sent me a song ‘We
dance.’ Wow! It was just like the dream I had. I still don't know the
full meaning of the dream but I know there's something to this dream.
She reminded me of what my doctor said, “push your foot up against mine
Dorcas.” Nicole also said your strength is in your feet. I believe one
day I will walk again without my walker because “We dance.”
What did you come to this website for? My deepest desire
is that you find your answer. I want you to know that it does not matter
what is going on in your world, how small or large your body frame is,
or if you can dream at all. Our goal and desire is to inspire you to
dream again. This is why this website is called Dorcas Gazelle
because we are light on our feet and we choose to dream. If you
need help getting up, it’s simple because we are: ‘light on our
feet-weight is more than food’ and
together we dance.
